PAS 68 Impact Tested Terra Blocker

The Terra Blocker, model ATTB, is a high security Road Blocker or rising kerb, successfully impact tested to the BSi PAS 68: and K12 standards, when impacted with a 7,500kg vehicle travelling at 50mph (80kph). The Terra Blocker remained fully functional after impact.

TERRA BLOCKER SPECIFICATION

The Frontier Pitts crash-rated Terra Blocker model ATTB is available in lengths up to 5000mm, with a lifted height of 810mm or 1100mm.

The Terra Blocker with a lift height of 1100mm has been successfully impact tested in accordance with BSi PAS 68

The Terra Blocker with a lift height of 1100mm has been successfully impact tested in accordance with the Department of State K12 standard which has now been superseded by the ASTM Standard F2656-07

THE TEST
The test was conducted to prove the arresting capability of a Frontier Pitts Terra Blocker when impacted with a 7500kg test vehicle at a speed of 50mph (80km/hour). In accordance with BSi PAS 68:2007, which surpasses the requirements of the Department of State test standard SD-STD-2.01 Revision A, Certification Class K12, a lorry was used to act as the test vehicle. The DoS standard has now been superseded by the ASTM standard F2656.

On impact the Terra Blocker brought the vehicle to a complete halt with zero penetration onto site or past the impacted face of the unit. After the impact the Terra Blocker remains fully functional and the operating mechanism continued to raise and lower.
