PAS 68 Crash Tested Terra Shallow Blocker

The Terra Shallow Blocker, model ATTBs, is a high security Road Blocker or rising kerb, successfully crash tested as a single unit system to the BSI PAS 68:2007 and K12 standards, when impacted with a 7,500kg vehicle travelling at 50mph (80kph). The Terra Blocker remained fully functional after impact.

TERRA BLOCKER SPECIFICATION

The Frontier Pitts crash-rated Terra Shallow Blocker model ATTB-80s is available in lengths up to 5000mm and a lifted height option of 810mm or 1100mm.

Foundation depth of only 400mm required.

THE SHALLOW MOUNTED TERRA BLOCKER HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY CRASH TESTED STOPPING 7,500kg TRAVELLING AT 80km/Hour & CONTINUED TO OPERATE AFTER IMPACT

The Terra Shallow Blocker was successfully crash tested in accordance with PAS 68:2007. To the amazement of the Security Consultants and Civil Engineers present, the Terra Shallow Blocker had been installed just 52 hours prior to testing.

THE TEST
The test was conducted to prove the arresting capability of a Frontier Pitts Terra Shallow Blocker when impacted with a 7500kg test vehicle at a speed of 80km/hour (50mph). In accordance with PAS 68-69 2007 and the Department of State test standard SD-STD-2.01 Revision A, Certification Class K12, a lorry was used to act as the test vehicle.

On impact the Terra Shallow Blocker brought the vehicle to a complete halt with zero penetration onto site or past the impacted face of the unit.

After the impact the Terra Shallow Blocker remains fully functional and the operating mechanism continued to raise and lower, without the need for repair.

The Terra Shallow Blocker surpassed the standards for PAS 68-69 2007 and the Department of State Certification K12.
