Field Service Engineers - London & South East

Due to our fast expanding business Frontier Pitts are currently looking for dedicated Electromechanical Field Service Engineers to aid in the installation, service and maintenance of our wide range of security equipment in the areas of London and the South East.


The successful applicant will have the following profile:
A wide range of experience in an electrical and mechanical environment, able to read electrical and mechanical drawings, although full training will be provided for our specific requirements.
A Driving license, preferably clean.
Be self motivated to work individually and adaptable to work as part of a team.
Able to communicate in a clear, concise, logical manner both verbally and written.
It would be an advantage if you had a working experience in the following
3 phase and 16th edition electrical.

Junior Mechanical Engineer


The role involves utilising AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor to produce quality mechanical designs within time and budget constraints. Knowledge of drawing standards and a high attention to detail is essential as is the ability to carry out accurate design calculations on welded steel structures.


The role involves providing shop floor engineering support to welders and fitters, providing technical support to site engineers and project managers, as well as directly communicating with suppliers and higher level management. Thus excellent communication skills are essential and knowledge of the manufacturing/assembly process is required. Further to this a credible knowledge of hydraulic systems would be an advantage, and a willingness to get your hands dirty.

Essential Skills/Qualifications
Minimum 2:1 degree in mechanical engineering or related field
Able to demonstrate practical basic engineering knowledge gained either through work experience, industrial placement or degree or project work.
Excellent computer literacy, using AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, MS Excel.
Experience of mechanical drawings/models and layouts.
Able to communicate in a clear, concise, logical manner both verbally and written.
Proficiency in both static and dynamic mechanical calculations performed on steel structures, including wind loadings.
An ability to think commercially as well as technically.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of the engineering design process and working to BSI ISO 9001.
Authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
Able to pass a low level of security clearance.


Desired Attributes:
A basic knowledge of computer programming (e.g. Inventor iLogic, VB.Net or equivalent) would be an advantage
Experience in using Autodesk Vault or an equivalent drawing database management system
Experience using basic hand tools and participation in engineering related hobbies
Previous experience in a position related to design for manufacture

Electrical Engineer, to work in our Electrical Workshop, based at our Crawley HQ

The candidate will have an understanding of electrical drawings and wire up panels, and be able to deal with and understand the different electrical components and their operation. The candidate will need to wire up and test the operation of our products, therefore PLC experience is essential.
