Road Blocker Preventative Maintenance checks the rising action, limit switch adjustment, the hydraulic rams and achor points, all the hydraulic connections for leaks, the rising speed of the lid (and adjusted if necessary), the smoothness of operation (adjusted if necessary), the hydraulic oil level and the manual operation. The ram pivot points are removed and greased and operations counter reading noted. The function of road loops are checked, together with alll locking nuts, the foundation fixings (and tightened if necessary) and skirt movement. The lamps are inspected and changed if necessary, all electrical components are inspected and electrical terminals tighten if required. Paintwork is checked and any damage recorded.
